From the Manufacturer This is a 1/48 scale Academy plastic model kit. The T-33 was the most widely used jet trainer in the world. The two-place T-33 jet was designed for training pilots already qualified to fly propeller-driven aircraft. It was developed as a two-seat version of the USAF's first jet fighter, the F-80 Shooting Star, the T-33 continues to serve in various more than 20 nations armed forces today. It has a max speed of 525 mph and carries two .50 caliber machines in its nose. This kit has over 80 parts and is a pleasure to construct. Decalss are provided for a USAF T-33A, as well as an example from the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) and a West German Luftwaffe aircraft. The kit features a highly detailed cockpit interior and landing gear bay and fully engraved panel lines and rivet detail throughout, enabling a beautiful 9 1/2" model to be built.
